Meet Abby Taylor, Chadds Ford cake decorator and baking connoisseur
Abby grew up in the area, decorating cakes with her mom. That passion blossomed into a delicious degree at Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island (kind of a big culinary deal!), where she perfected her skills and earned a degree in advanced pastry and food and beverage entrepreneurship.
During her time at school, she hopped the pond for 3 months to study in France, among renowned French pastry chefs.
That was only the beginning of her adventure. In 2023, the Food Network found her on Instagram and handpicked Abby as one of the expert pastry chefs on Holiday Wars Season 4. How cool is that?
After her boondoggles with culinary greatness, Abby returned home to share her talents with us. As a longtime friend of Tess Wolford, owner of OsoSweet, Abby became the resident Cake Baker and Decorator-in-Chief at our beloved local bakery. Her skill is impeccable and her style stunning.

Before I left, Abby showed me her order management spreadsheet. It’s a doozy. She’s an artistic queen who also knows her way around a multi-tabbed, complicated spreadsheet. That’s a serious skill combination. Abby is as delightful as her cakes are delicious.
