A Tale of Two Rachels: Yoga and Art Class
Once upon a time, in a land of bright colors, giggly munchkins, and lots of mini toilets (aka Chadds Ford Elementary transformed for the annual Art Show), Rachel met Rachel. And the Rachels realized they had a few unexpected things in common.
🎨 Art Rachel practices a unique form of art, spreading paint on canvas with blow dryers, straws, scrapers, and more. Through her art, she looks inward for inspiration, lets go of any expectations about herself, her work, or the final product, and allows her creativity and spirit to come to life. She trusts the process.
🧘🏻♀️ Yoga Rachel practices vinyasa yoga. Through her yoga practice, she looks inward for inspiration, lets go of any expectations about herself, her work, or the final product, and allows her creativity and spirit to come to life. She trusts the process.
With their names being the only obvious shared commonality, they found that their respective self-care and professional practices had much in common as well. They realized the potential of bringing these two practices together and sharing them with other members of the community; a yoga and art class was born. ✨

Yoga and art class
Next Friday, February 27th, the Rachels are hosting a yoga and art class at the yoga space in Chadds Ford. During the first hour, Yoga Rachel will guide participants through a vinyasa practice and a creative meditation exercise. Then, Art Rachel will lead the group through an artistic and creative exploration, teaching her liquid art methods. Each person will take home two pieces of their own artwork that embody Art Rachel’s unique techniques.
Art for sale at the yoga studio
Enchanted by the artwork, Yoga Rachel now sells Art Rachel’s pieces in her studio. There are almost a dozen unique pieces of art available, except for the one Yoga Rachel bought for herself. 😉 Studio visitors can purchase the pieces on display anytime. If you find one you like, a quick Venmo payment magically releases the piece from the wall and drops it gently into your hands. 🪄
If you’re interested in experiencing a calming, creative blend of yoga and art, sign up for next Friday’s class. Spaces are limited, so don’t wait. Better yet, grab a friend or two or three and make a night of the occasion.
Ps. I love seeing local, women-owned, small businesses supporting each other and growing together. Guys, I love your local businesses too, but I’d be a liar if I didn’t admit to being slightly biased towards the ladies. 🩷
