Are you ready for a new farmers' market?

Spread the word and help find a few more vendors

Let’s do a little happy dance! We’re getting a new farmers’ market. 🥳 Concord Township is hosting a June Farmers’ Market at the Smithbridge Park (the big park on Smithbridge Rd next to the Rachel Kohl Library and Garnet Valley Middle School).

Although it’s not in Chadds Ford, it’s so close to many of us, particularly those who live on the east side of town. I love the Kennett Farmers’ Market and West Chester Growers Market, but they’re too far away from me to fit into a regular food shopping routine. Maybe you can relate?

The Concord Farmers’ Market seeks more vendors, primarily produce, dairy, and meat. If you know any farmers or growers interested in sharing the fruits of their labor with neighbors, let them know about the upcoming market opportunity.

For now, the market runs on four Sundays in June (8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th) from 9 am to 12 pm. Concord Parks and Rec, the organizer, wanted to test it out before vendors commit to the entire season. If it goes well, they’ll extend it into the summer. 🤞🏼

That means we must show our support in June to let the vendors and the township know we want the market to continue. 🫶🏼 Can we make it happen?!

Mark your calendars to attend. But while we wait for summer to heat up, let’s see if we can help the market find a few more vendors! Applications close soon so the market organizers can situate everything for opening day on June 8th.

Interested vendors must have appropriate licenses. They may contact Emma Leuschner at [email protected] for more information on how to apply!

Just forward this email to them or share the post (that button right up there ☝🏼), and… voilà… you’re a community builder and good citizen for the day. 💛

Thanks in advance for helping us build stronger bonds and more resilient neighborhoods by creating connections and supporting our local small businesses.

  1. Jen you made my day! SIW is no longer in business in CF and I was trying to figure out another farm or market to go to and this is so close. Can’t wait to check it out on the 8th and thanks for making us aware!
